Choose between simple one-click control via a wall switch, or use the remote control from your comfortable sofa and point it at one or more lamps, or connect via the LUTEC connect or Tuya Smart mobile application where, among other options, you can program the lamps' operating schedule, or the most sophisticated control of all, control with your voice to meet your lighting needs or desires. In the rest of this blog, we will present you with ways to control LUTEC smart lighting and smart LED bulbs.

LUTEC connect mobile application

The LUTEC connect mobile app is the best way to control your lamp for a fully smart experience. Available for Android and iOS devices, it allows you to control your lighting directly from your smartphone. Via the mobile app, you can choose the white light color, choose any RGB color from 16 million colors to choose from, or choose a desired scene that takes the atmosphere to a new level or you can create your own. Among the multiple lighting effects, you can also organize your lamps by room or zone by creating groups. Each added lamp gets a quick control button (on/off), allowing you to quickly turn each lamp on and off.

An alternative to the LUTEC connect mobile application is the Tuya Smart mobile application. The Tuya Smart application can recognize all LUTEC smart lamps, because the LUTEC application is made according to the Tuya protocol. If you already use this application, we definitely recommend you to continue using it. Whether you use LUTEC connect or the Tuya Smart app, you have full control over your smart lights.

Smart remote control

If you don't like the modern way, there's always tradition, and for this very reason, LUTEC offers a smart remote control to control its smart lighting that is practical and easy to use, allowing you to adjust the lighting according to your wishes and needs. You can choose from multiple colors and scenes, change the white light temperature or adjust the light intensity according to your wishes. This remote control is very useful in homes with multiple lighting fixtures, such as living rooms, kitchens or hallways. It allows you to quickly and easily adjust the lighting according to your wishes, no matter where you are in the house. We like to call it a 2-in-1 remote control, because it allows you to double function, control an individual lamp or control an entire group.

The upper, white part of the remote control allows you to individually control each lamp, and you do this by pointing the remote control directly at the lamp, just like you would do with a TV. This upper part allows you to turn the lamp on/off, select one of the large selection of RGB colors; you can change the color of the white light, dim the selected color and best of all, select one of 6 predefined scenes that can relax or move you in an instant. The lower, gray part allows you to turn on/off a group of lamps. In the LUTEC connect mobile application, connect the desired lamps to a specific group, ABC. There is no maximum number of lamps that can be in one group. Once you define the desired zones or groups, then the powerful control via the remote control begins. The lower part is just the beginning, because when you activate the desired group, you can then control it with the upper part of the remote.

Smart Switch

The Smart Switch is a very clever smart product from the LUTEC connect smart product series. This accessory can be easily attached to any wall thanks to the 3M self-adhesive system. Without the need to connect to the mains, you can easily and quickly turn on and off the connected lamp with one click. The smart switch also offers the possibility of dimming and adjusting the white light temperature or color in a room or group that is set in the mobile app.

Control and adjust all your lights via a smart switch, but before full control, you need to connect the smart switch to the LUTEC connect mobile application. Once connected, full control begins. The smart switch itself has several functions and 3 basic buttons; 1 large circular button in the middle which is the main driver of each connected lamp and three small A, B, C buttons which are used to control lamps by zone or group. With the main push button you can turn the lamp on or off. If you want to reset it, then you have to hold the button for about 10 seconds and the lamp will start flashing, which means it is in the connection state and you can reconnect it. By double-pressing the button you can change between four predefined operating modes, which are: you can set the color to cool white, neutral white, warm white or RGB color which is purple by default. If you hold and rotate the button, you can dim the lamp, or do dimming. The last button option is press and rotate, which allows you to change the color temperature, where you can change the white color or any predefined RGB color if you have previously defined the desired mode by double-clicking.

In addition to the main circular button, at the base of the smart switch there are three small buttons (A, B, C) that allow you to create zones or groups for easier individual or group control of lamps. To add the desired lamp to a specific group, you need to hold down the A, B or C button for a long time until the lamp starts flashing, which is a sign that it has been recognized and it is then added to the selected group. When you have added a lamp, by pressing a specific button, or letter, you have selected that lamp or group and now with the upper circular button you can control everything at once. If you want to delete a lamp from a specific group, you must first reset the lamp. After it turns on again, by double-clicking on the specific button, or letter, in which the lamp is located, it will delete that lamp from that group and it will start flashing again, which means that the lamp has been deleted from the group and is ready for a new connection.

Wall switch, 2 in 1 function

LUTEC smart lighting offers users easy control and great flexibility. Namely, the lamps are designed to allow light and color management in different ways, depending on the user's needs. It is also possible to use standard wall switches, and with a simple press of the switch, the user can change the color of the light from warm white light (2700 K) with an additional click to more intense daylight (4000 K). If you want additional functionality, the lamps can be connected to the LUTEC Connect or Tuya Smart mobile application, which allows full control over the lighting, access to multiple scenes, defining time delays and many other options. Regardless of the control method, LUTEC smart lighting will allow you to create the desired atmosphere and adapt the lighting to your mood and needs.

Voice control

The LUTEC Access box is a practical accessory for those who want to control their LUTEC connect smart lights with the help of voice devices such as Google Home or Alexa. This accessory allows you to connect your smart speaker to LUTEC smart lights via your WiFi network. This way you can easily control the lighting in your home with voice commands. The entire LUTEC connect smart series can also be controlled by voice, which makes this system practical and easy to use.

LUTEC Access box

The LUTEC Access box is a mini smart server developed by Tuya. It is small in size and easy to install. Although this accessory is not necessary for the smooth operation of LUTEC connect smart products, it is still necessary to perform certain functions, such as voice control, but also to program one or more lamps to work on a specific schedule or according to certain conditions such as weather. It also has a security function, as it allows you to set the lamps to turn on and off randomly while you are not at home, which can deter potential burglars. The advantage of the LUTEC Access box is the ability to connect all lamps to the Cloud, which allows you to control all LUTEC smart devices from anywhere outside the home. It only needs to be connected to your WiFi network and connected to the LUTEC connect mobile application.
